Technical Mechanics (6cr)

Objective

The students are able to calculate the supporting forces of various static structures, determine loads for strength analysis, know the basics of dynamic phenomena and how to apply them to the dimensioning of rolling stock and transporters.

Content

Equilibrium of mass point, equilibrium of rigid body, framed structures, loads, basics of dynamics, the energy principle.

Qualifications

Solving systems of equations, mastery of force and moment balance
