Basics of Equipment Engineering (4cr)

Objective

The students can calculate stress on devices and structures in simple cases, dimension different connections, and are familiar with the basics of dimensioning the components of power transmission.

Content

Basics of strength calculation, design of joints, power transmission and bearings, and different device applications. The basics of design are applied by analysing the structural solutions of logistics and their dimensioning.

Qualifications

Mastery of differential and integral calculus, statics of mechanics, and the basics of dynamics of mechanics.
