Objective
The students understand the theory of reliability engineering and know how to apply its most typical methods. They also understand and are able to apply the possibilities of reliability mathematics and calculus of probability in the modelling of reliability. The students are able to determine the usability of a target and its elements, and understand their mutual dependence. They are able to identify targets for improving and developing operational reliability. They have a basic ability for performing failure and cause analyses, and also master the basics of life-cycle calculation.
