Automation Field Devices (4cr)

Objective

The students understand the basics of field devices, basic measuring instruments and actuators in paper machine automation applications. They are able to connect measuring instruments and actuators to an automation system via a fieldbus.

Content

Measuring technique, the structure of an automation system, fieldbuses, the measurements and actuators of paper machine automation.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5) the student has attained the objectives of the course at an excellent level.
Good (3-4) the student has attained the objectives of the course at a satisfactory level.
Satisfactory (1-2) as a rule, the student has attained the objectives of the course.
