Objective

The students are able to make calculations required by managerial accounting and reporting based on the principles of professional and value ethics. They understand the connections between strategy and economy and are able to apply the performance indicators supporting the implementation of a strategy to the management of their work community. They understand and are able to assess the different approaches of national and global accounting and the significance of reporting for the success of their work community. They master various analysis tools and new sources of internal and external information.

Content

The significance of managerial accounting for business activity. Product-specific cost accounting. Profitability analysis of costs. Administration of capital. Investment planning. Result planning. Reporting in accounting and the utilisation of reports.

Qualifications

The students master the basics of accounting in an enterprise.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assessment is based on the following criteria: 1) active class participation; 2) team work skills and ability to present results in writing and orally; 3) level of the written output of the independent study unit. Successful completion 44% of total points, excellent 90% of total points.
