Objective
The students are familiar with the principles of maintenance operations management and understand the role of information management in the development of the maintenance operations. The students understand the preconditions to develop the reliability and maintenance efficiency from the comprehensive information management point of view. The students can utilize several different information systems to develop the reliability in different production plants. The students understand the importance of maintenance reporting and can apply change management methods to develop the reporting. The students are familiar with the tools of the continuous development and can implement them in their own operational environments. The students can define maintenance indicators in order to monitor continuous improvement
Content
The concepts, definitions and principles of maintenance resource management. The basic structure and functions of maintenance information systems. Maintenance indicators. Maintenance reporting and the change management methods to develop it. Other data management systems to develop the reliability. Tools of the continuous development

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge in a critical and innovative manner when solving a development problem. The student can also apply the change management methods to his/her working environment.
Good (3): The student masters in addition to the basic knowledge and skills mentioned below the following and can apply the knowledge acquired:
- Requirements to develop the maintenance reporting
- Reliability development utilizing comprehensive information management
