Objective

The students are familiar with the principles of the most common condition based maintenance methods. The students are familiar with the special features of the most common maintenance monitoring methods and their implementation requirements. The students can define performance indicators from the condition based maintenance point of view. The students identify the possibilities of technological development in efficient maintenance monitoring. The students can take the maintenance monitoring into account in the requirement management. The students identify change management methods in the implementation and improvement of maintenance monitoring concepts

Condition based maintenance concepts and definitions. Definition of the maintenance monitoring needs. Maintenance monitoring methods and their implementation. Measuring the benefits of maintenance monitoring. Vibration analyses as part of the efficient maintenance monitoring actions. Considering the maintenance monitoring in the requirement management. Change management methods in the development of maintenance monitoring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge in a critical and innovative manner when solving a development problem. The student can also apply the change management methods in his/her working environment.

Good (3): The student masters in addition to the basic knowledge and skills mentioned below the following and can apply the knowledge acquired:
- Basic requirements of the condition-based maintenance
- Use of the vibration measurements in the condition monitoring of rotating machines
- Condition monitoring as part of the requirement engineering management

Satisfactory (1-2): The student masters the basic knowledge and skills covered by the course:
- The role of condition monitoring in efficient maintenance
- Basic methods in condition monitoring and their applicability
- Definitions of the needs in condition monitoring
