Objective

The students understand the significance of product development, as well as the progress and management of a product development process. They are able to work as managers of a product development project.

Content

The characteristics of product development activity. The product development process and its stages. The management of a product development project. Product standardization. The development of a service product. Product protection.

Qualifications

The students understand the significance of product development as part of business activity.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assessment criteria: 1) active class participation; 2) ability to work in groups and present results orally and in writing; 3) quality of the written assignment of independent study; 4) exam based on lectures and literature. A pass requires 44% of the total score, excellent 90% of total score.
