Objective
The course is part of the IoT - Internet of Things module You will become familiar with the user-oriented design process and know how to utilize it.
Content
• Utilization of HAMK Design Factory's Design Thinking process model in implementing development projects. • Mapping and benchmarking of existing solutions. • Carrying out user research by observing, interviewing and using questionnaire research. • User-oriented definition and (re)formulation of the problem. • Ideation and prototyping of user-oriented solutions. • Testing solutions with users and utilizing user feedback in developing solutions.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
You know how to map existing solutions and conduct user research to find out user needs. You know how to consider the user when defining and formulating the problem. You participate in building the prototype and testing it with users. With the help of the prototype and its testing, you will be able to analyze the applicability of the solution to the user's needs from the perspectives of feasibility and sustainable development.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
You know how to map existing solutions and conduct user research to find out user needs. You know how to define and formulate a problem in a user-oriented way. You actively participate in building the prototype and testing it with users. With the help of the prototype and its testing, you will be able to analyze the suitability of the solution to the user's needs from the perspectives of feasibility, desirability and sustainable development. You know how to develop and evaluate alternative solutions for user needs.
