Osaamistavoitteet

Tarkoitus: Opintojakson opiskeltuaan opiskelija ymmärtää toiminnanohjauksen merkityksen yrityksen strategisen ja operatiivisen johtamisen välineenä. Ymmärrät toiminnanohjausjärjestelmien teknisen arkkitehtuurin perusteet sekä integroidun tietojärjestelmän informaatiovirtojen perusteet. Osaat soveltaa toiminnanohjausjärjestelmiä liiketoimintaprosessien johtamisessa.

Osaamiset: Teknologia, Liiketoiminta, Tieto ja ymmärrys, Tekniikan soveltaminen käytäntöön

Osaamistavoite: Opintojakson opiskeltuasi ymmärrät toiminnanohjauksen merkityksen yrityksen strategisen ja operatiivisen johtamisen välineenä. Ymmärrät toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän tekniset perusteet sekä tiedonhallinnan merkityksen. Tunnistat toiminnanohjausjärjestelmien käyttöönoton kokonaisuuteen liittyviä osatekijöitä. Osaat käyttää toiminnanohjausjärjestelmää liiketoimintaprosessien operatiivisten vaiheiden johtamiseen.

Sisältö

Opintojaksolla opiskelet seuraavia aihekokonaisuuksia: toiminnanohjauksen käsitteet, toiminnanohjauksen merkitys, toiminnanohjausjärjestelmien tekniset perusteet sekä tiedonhallinta, liiketoimintaprosessit, toiminnanohjausjärjestelmien käyttöönotto, case-harjoitukset.

Objective

Purpose: After the course student understands the meaning of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as a tool for strategic and operative management. You understand the basics of technical architecture of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and also the information flow of the integrated information system. You are able to utilize ERP system in business process management.

Learning Outcome: After the course you understand the role of Enterprise Resource Planning as a tool for managing strategy and operative functions. You understand the technical principles of ERP and the meaning of purposeful data management. You understand the wholeness of ERP implementation. You are able to use and utilize ERP system to manage various business processes.

Content

The course contents of following topics: definition of Enterprise Resource Planning, benefits of ERP, technical principles of ERP, data management in ERP systems, business processes, implementation of ERP system, case trainings.

Teaching methods

Classroom teaching, case studies in computer laboratory and homework trainings.

Exam schedules

Exam scheduling will be informed in the beginning of the course.

One credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of work, which means that the load of five credits is approximately 135 hours. The load is distributed in different ways depending on the course implementation.
