The student demonstrates his/her ability to act in empowering partnership with diverse families and children/adolescents. Student is able to implement the nursing process and culturally sensitive nursing care in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary networks using evidence-based decision making with support.Student masters essential clinical and health promotion nursing interventions and methods, and administers medications safely. Student has basic knowledge about vaccinations and has the skills to perform vaccinations safely.

Student has knowledge of promoting health of families and planning, implementing and evaluating family, pediatric and adolescent nursing.The student demonstrates mastering drug calculations before the practical training.

Simulation practices:
Empowering culturally sensitive counseling of families
Assisting in emergency labour
Bathing and massaging a newborn
Assisting in breastfeeding
Growth and measuring of children
Testing child's hearing and vision
Small procedures in pediatric nursing care
Airway management and resuscitation of pediatric patients
