Assessment is based on learning objectives and is both qualitative and quantitative. Teacher´s evaluation, self&peer assessment.

5 (Excellent)
The student masters, in addition to the core competence required for grades 3 (Good) and 4 (Very good), critical examination. The student displays particular creativeness.

4 (Very Good)
The student is able to analyse the concepts, special characteristics and global perspective related to cultural tourism. The student networks with cultural tourism actors and is able to assess key services as part of the operating field.

3 (Good)
The student illustrates and is able to specify the concepts and special characteristics related to cultural tourism by utilising theoretic source material and practical examples. The student knows cultural tourism actors and key services.

2 (Satisfactory)
The student demonstrates that he/she understands the concepts and special characteristics related to cultural tourism both in theory and in practice. The student is able to point out key actors and services. 1 (Sufficient) .
The student knows the concepts related to cultural tourism. The student’s diverse specification and application of the concepts remain insufficient. The student recognises key actors and existing services.

Qualifications

The student understands the concepts related to service operations and has basic customer competence. The student understands how the tourism industry has developed and what it comprises nationally and internationally. The student understands the general concepts and phenomena related to tourism as well as the principles of sustainable tourism.

Objective

The student knows the emphases and significance of cultural tourism from the national and international perspective. He/she knows the national theme-promoting strategies and development policies. He/she understands the concepts, phenomena and special characteristics related to cultural tourism and is able to utilise them in analysing operations. He/she is able to perceive different actors and operations in cultural tourism. The student understands motives of a cultural traveller and the theme’s significance to the competitiveness of the company.
