Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students demonstrate their competence in relation to the learning outcomes through oral and written demonstrations.

The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Unless otherwise defined in the curriculum, a course accepted as completed is assessed on the following five-step scale: 5 (Excellent), 4 (Very Good), 3 (Good), 2 (Satisfactory), 1 (Sufficient), If the student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail). In special cases, a course may be graded as Pass/Fail, marked as “S (Pass)” and “0 (Fail)”.

For degree students: The students can intelligibly communicate orally and in writing in everyday situations, mastering the basic structures and formal style of English (B2)

Content
Field-specific oral and written expert communication in working life, e.g. a project assignment and presentation, argumentative writing, team writing, acting as opponent, critical reading and use of sources
Objective
The students
• understand the internationalisation development of their field and its effects
• can create the documents needed in working life and reports in formal style, with a structured content, good language and a presentable layout
• can produce a clear, illustrative and interactive speech/comment related to their field, based on the nature of the audience and situation
• master the principles of group and team work, team writing, and cooperation in multiprofessional and –cultural work groups
• can act in typical communication and interaction situations of their field, appreciating diversity and considering multicultural characteristics
• master the formal style register orally and in writing, in accordance with the B2 proficiency level (first foreign language) in the context of the degree programme
deepen their language competence in line with their own needs and future workplace demands
