Objective
With the written maturity test you will demonstrate mastery of your study field and good proficiency in Finnish or Swedish.
If you have received your school education in an other language than Finnish (Swedish) or abroad, you will take a Maturity Test in Finnish (Swedish) or demonstrate your proficiency in a written language appropriate to your degree program.

Content
Internal bulletin concernig the bachelor’s thesis
Materials
- Your own bachelor's thesis
- JAMK open course materials for internal bulletin
Teaching methods
Electronic, supervised exam either in Exam-studio or in eLearning environment at a separate occasion arranged by your school
Student workload
- Preparation for a maturity test 3 hours
- Writing a maturity test 2 hours 15 minutes (3x45 minutes)
Content scheduling
The maturity test is assessed by the thesis supervisor (content) and the lecturer of communication skills (language).

Pass/Fail
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The maturity test is approved when
1. it contains the main results of the thesis, examines the significance of the results and is competent in its processing.
2. text is understandable even if the reader has not seen the thesis
3. the text is written in a formal style, is consistent (the structure of the bulletin) and the language is understandable
4. text is 3000 to 3500 characters long.
Maturity test is rejected when
1. the criteria for approved performance are not met
2. text is written in the I format
3. the text is missing a title.

You can enroll for the maturity test when the supervisor of your thesis gives permission.
