You will receive formative and summative assessment (teacher/peer review) according to the sequencing of content and assignments. The utilisation of artificial intelligence, guidelines and possible ethical questions follow the updated Arene recommendations and Jamk's rules.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
You are able to compare the differences and similarities between research-based development and academic research. You are able to analyse development processes and methods suitable for your development topic, and reflect on and assess their suitability with the help of literature. You understand the significance of research ethics in research-based development. You can develop a topic proposal for your thesis.

Study methods
Research-based development is an online course on Moodle learning environment. On Moodle you will find course instructions, schedules, assignments and all study materials. You will also attend Zoom webinars once a month. In webinars, you reflect and share what you have learned communally with your student peers.
You will conduct independent information gathering and apply what you have learned in learning assignments.
Guidance
You will receive guidance on Moodle learning environment (e.g. question and answer forum) and webinars. You will also receive guidance from your student peers.
Feedback
You will receive both qualitative and quantitative evaluation and feedback on your learning assignments. You give feedback on the course (mid-term and final feedback on the implementation).
