Objective
The student is familiar with the concept of accessibility from the perspective of clients, employees, operating environments and legislation. The student is familiar with society's and organisations' potential to promote accessibility. The student is able to seek information related to the accessibility, usability and barrier-free qualities of an operating environment. The student is able to assess and document the usability and accessibility of operating environments and function as a part of a multidisciplinary professional team.
Content
Accessibility as a concept. How society and organisations can promote accessibility. Evidence-based information related to accessibility, usability and barrier-free locations and the assessment thereof. Evaluating and documenting the accessibility of operating environments.
Qualifications
The student possesses basic knowledge of occupational well-being, assessing functional and working capacity, and ergonomics.

The student is able to evaluate the accessibility of the operating environment. They are able to document assessment results and make recommendations based on the evaluation. The student uses limited source materials in their tasks. The student follows the key points of JAMK’s reporting instructions.
2 (Satisfactory)
The student is able to evaluate the accessibility of operating environments in a suitable manner. They are able to document assessment results clearly and make recommendations based on the evaluation. The student uses source materials in their tasks. The student follows the key points of JAMK’s reporting instructions.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
3 (Good) The student is able to evaluate the accessibility of operating environments in a client-oriented and suitable manner. They are able to document assessment results clearly and justify the recommendations based on the assessment well, in accordance with legislation and the client's comprehensive situation. The student uses relevant evidence-based information extensively. The student follows JAMK’s reporting instructions.
4 (Very good) The student is able to evaluate the accessibility of operating environments in a professional and client-oriented manner. They are able to document assessment results clearly and consistently and justify the recommendations based on the assessment very well, in accordance with legislation and the client's overall situation. The student uses relevant evidence-based information extensively. The student follows JAMK’s reporting instructions.

5 (Excellent) The student is able to evaluate the accessibility of operating environments in a professional, client-oriented and critical manner. They are able to document assessment results clearly and consistently and justify the recommendations based on the assessment in a professional manner, in accordance with legislation and the client's overall situation. The student uses relevant evidence-based information in an extensive and analytical manner. The student follows JAMK’s reporting instructions.
