Objective
*The students have the basic knowledge and skills of the tools and methods of team leadership, client work and client process
*can act as a manager that develops work community and work methods, as person in charge of team and as active member of work community and can plan services in accordance with clients' needs as multiprofessional cooperation
*the students know the basics of task areas of administrative competence in social and health care and they can apply national and local strategies from the viewpoint of the unit
*know the significance of work efficiency and can exploit tools of quality assessment
*can operate and influence in citizen and authority networks and assemble them.
Content
The possibilities and tasks of bachelors of social services in implementing the basic mission of a service unit, in decision making and in influencing.
The task areas of administrative competence.
Municipal decision making; how to influence decision making.
Collective agreements, civil servant collective agreements.
Occupational safety and wellbeing at work.
Central legislation of the field.
Implementation of services for the disabled.
Work development methods,team leadership and psychology of leadership as well as client work guidance in different environments, work guidance and financial administration.

Qualifications
The students have developed extensive competencies in client work and service systems through their earlier professional studies and practical training.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
excellent (5): the students participate in contact lessons and discussions in the virtual learning environment and complete the agreed assignments. In written assignments they show the ability to describe and justify the phenomena of the topic. The students follow the instructions of JUA for written assignments.
good (3-4): the students participate in contact lessons and discussions in the virtual learning environment and complete agreed assignments. In written assignments, they show ability to describe and justify the phenomena of the topic by exploiting Finnish sources. The students follow the instructions of JUA for written assignments.
satisfactory (1-2): the students partially participate in contact lessons and contribute little or none to discussions in the virtual learning environment. The students complete the agreed assignments. In written assignments, they describe the phenomena of the topic without justifying them and using only some source material. The students partially follow the instructions of JUA for written assignments.
