Objective
The students perceive the service structure of the health and social field as well as the present state of the operating environment and future challenges from the viewpoint of service production and organisation. They recognise the possibilities of municipalities, 3rd sector and entrepreneurship as producers of social services. The students understand the significance of customer-based work from the viewpoint of service production and development. The understand entrepreneurship as one career option and the possibilities supporting entrepreneurship in their own studies.

The students are familiar with social and health care services and the principles related to their production as well as significance of customer-based operations.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
excellent (5): the students participate in contact lessons and seminar and complete the agreed assignments. In written assignments they show the ability to describe and justify the phenomena of the topic. The students follow the instructions of JUA for written assignments.
good (3-4): the students participate in contact lessons and seminar and complete agreed assignments. In written assignments, they show ability to describe and justify the phenomena of the topic by exploiting Finnish sources. The students follow the instructions of JUA for written assignments.
satisfactory (1-2): the students partially participate in contact lessons and seminar. The students complete the agreed assignments. In written assignments, they describe the phenomena of the topic without justifying them and using only some source material. The students partially follow the instructions of JUA for written assignments.
