Descriptions
After graduating from the Degree Programme in Project Management, you will have extensive knowledge of project activities and be able to lead various projects from organizational and work community perspectives. You are able to evaluate and develop your own project leadership and career in a goal-oriented manner. You understand the importance of strategy in organizational management and are able to formulate strategies for the national and/or international operating environment. You promote and manage your organization and its projects ethically and in accordance with the values of sustainable development. You utilise financial management in project management and management, analyzing development needs. You master the advanced knowledge base of project management and are able to produce new information taking into account the perspectives of different fields of science. You are able to critically evaluate information and take care of your own and your work community's continuous competence development, especially from the perspective of projects. You are able to apply research and development methods in your project management work to produce new and forward-looking solutions.
Development
The Degree Programme in Project Management has been created together with Jamk's other master’s degrees and is based on foresight data. The competence contained in the degree is developed together with an advisory board consisting of working life and partners. JAMK University of Applied Sciences students and alumni graduates are our lifelong partners, with whom we cooperate to develop the quality of education.
The RDI activities of JAMK University of Applied Sciences carry out high-quality research and development projects regionally in Central Finland, nationally and internationally with other higher education institutions, organisations in different fields and research institutes. We belong to e.g. active member of the international PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) community and the European EUDRES (European University Alliance) network, which enables not only research cooperation but also the development of education and teaching with our partners.
