Objective
The students understand the use of differential equation in the modelling of dynamic systems and can form and solve a differential equation in a simple case. They are familiar with the concept of function with multiple variables and the application of these functions to optimisation models. Emphasis varies according to degree programme.
Content
The concept of differential equation, separated and first-order coefficient equation. Functions with multiple variables, partial derivatives, gradient. Optimisation models.
