Objective

In this course you will learn about human trafficking as a phenomenon, i.e. what it all entails. The goal is that after the course you will be able to define the most common terms and concepts related to human trafficking, and you are aware of the global and national situation of human trafficking. You will also learn how victims of human trafficking are supported in Finland and abroad, as well as how victims can be supported moving forward. In addition, you will receive instructions for identifying victims of human trafficking.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
The student knows how to define the terms and concepts related to human trafficking. The student knows the different aspects of human trafficking and the most important risk factors for becoming a victim of human trafficking. The student is aware of the global and national situation of human trafficking. The student recognizes the most common signs of human trafficking and understands the most common means of support for a victim of human trafficking.

Fail:
The student does not demonstrate sufficient competence in the fields mentioned above.
