Objective

Students understand the strategic planning process and how the organisation can achieve competitive advantage by making right strategies. They are able to recognize changes in the global environment and formulate new strategies to respond to these changes.

Content

Corporate vision, strategic positioning, competitive strategy, corporate strategy, industry analysis, value chain analysis, resource-based view, SWOT analysis, strategy canvas, blue ocean strategy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), creating shared value (CSV).

Qualifications

BBA in business or economics or equal

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1 (Sufficient): The student knows about the strategic planning process and its basic elements.

2 (Satisfactory): The student can conduct industry analysis, value chain analysis and SWOT analysis.

3 (Good): The student can build appropriate strategies for a company to gain competitive advantage.

4 (Very good): The student is also able to apply the concept of shared value creation in strategy development.

5 (Excellent): The student recognizes changes in the environment and is able to adapt strategies to capture opportunities.
