Development of ExpertiseLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The student is familiar with the requirements of the professional tasks of his own field in a changing operating environment, recognizes the strengths and development challenges of his field of expertise and prepares a personal learning plan and development objectives accordingly. The student is able to critically evaluate the changes in the operating environment and services of his field as well as their impacts on employee skills. He is able to continuous development of expertise, learning together and sharing the expertise in multidisciplinary networks.

Content

Expertise, professional growth and lifelong learning. Skill analysis methods and development of expertise. Personal study plan guidance. Changes in the working life and the factors influencing them. Evaluation and analysis of the impacts of the changes from the perspective of employee skills.

The course is evaluated on the scale of pass/fail. The course’s successful completion (pass) is expressed with an S and unsuccessful (fail) with a 0.
S (pass): The student is able to analyse skills requirements in his field, recognises his development challenges and prepares a personal study and development plan. The student is able to evaluate the development of expertise and share it in different professional networks.
