Objective
The students recognize their learning needs and can set realistic learning goals. They can form a realistic idea of their learning, assessing the development of their knowledge and skills in relation to set personal objectives and the objectives of the work community. They identify the research methods best suiting their work, and learn to use them. They can use ICT in their work. They can plan the thesis process, utilize in assessment the entire group's competence, and receive and give feedback. Based on the evaluations, they can reflect on the needs to develop their competence in the future.
Content
Objectives of studies. The learning process and different learning styles. Personal study plan. Research methodological approaches of technology. Thesis planning and guidance. Assessment of own learning and further plans. Assessment of the contents and implementation of the education; thesis assessment.
Qualifications
Mastery of comprehensive basic knowledge in the field

Adequate competence. The materials demonstrate that the student:
-identifies his/her learning needs and can set realistic learning objectives
- can plan the thesis process
- identifies the research methods best suiting his/her work and can use them
