Objective

The student is able to guide challenging situations associated with family work: families of a children or young people with special needs, ageing families, violence in the family, situations where child protection services are involved and associated legal and ethical reasoning and opportunities.

The student is familiar with the basic principles of substance and process consultation and guidance through dialogue. The student is able to apply solution-focused process consultation and techniques of group consultation (the Korko methodology) within the theme of family guidance they have selected.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework (NQF/EQF), level 7.

If the student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail).

1 (Sufficient) – 2 (Satisfactory)
The student knows the prospects of consultation as part of development work, and he masters the basics of process and consultation work.
3 (Good) – 4 (Very good)
The student understands the many prospects of the consultative working method, and he knows the basic principles of process and substance consultation.
5 (Excellent)
The student has proved that he is competent in both process and substance consultation, and that he is able to use his knowledge and skills in challenging situations.
