Objective

Upon completion of the course, the students
- are able to recognise the strengths and development challenges of their expertise and, based on them, prepare individual learning plans and defined development targets
- master collaborative learning techniques and are able to share knowledge and expertise in different expert communities
- are able to apply the value basis and principles of the professional ethics of their own field as experts and promoters of development in their field of work
- are able to make ethically justified decisions, taking the perspectives of the individual, community, and society into account

- Expertise and professions: characteristics of professional development
- Adult education and lifelong learning
- Legislation and ethical principles in tourism and hospitality; their responsible application as experts to the development of the industry
- the role of expert in society; future challenges
- topical issues of professional ethics
- moral philosophy, ethical theories

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The course is graded as Pass/Fail, marked as “S (Pass)” and “0 (Fail)”.

S (Pass): The student is able to communicate his objestives in an effective way in his personal study plan. The student is able to recognize his strenghts and development challenges.He is also able to share the knowledge in his own organisation.
