Reading and playing choir and orchestral open score, grasping music in many voices, development of sight-reading, reading and playing of transposing instruments' text, use of different clefs

Content

Many voiced homophonic and polyphonic choir and orchestral open score tasks in diverse settings using different clefs. Transposing instruments.

Qualifications

Ability to grasp music in may voices, sufficient pianistic skills to play such musical textures

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assesment scale 1-5:

Excellent (5)
The students can figure out the structural elements of a score as well as being able to play it readily at the piano. They command the use of diverse clefs and the changing structure of the partiture.

Praiseworthy (4,3)
The student is proficient in figuring out diverse types of open-score. They are able to assimilate changing clef combinations and the changing flow of musical text.

Satisfactory (2,1)
The students command the basics of open-score reading.
