Objective

The student is capable of playing easy pieces by ear and of transposing using chord shorthand. The student is capable of transposing classical song accompaniments of medium difficulty using the diverse transposing methods.

The state of musical readiness and the rate of self-development are intertwined in assessment.
5 The students command the principles of transposing and are able to transpose accompaniments to other keys fluently and musically. The comprehension of harmonies and adaptation are fast and easy. They are motivated and develop their skills actively and independently.
4 The students are able to transpose fluently without allowing occasional disturbances to bother the playing. The students work actively and develop in their tasks.
3 The transposing skills of the students are enough for basic tasks but development is needed in the more difficult ones. The students work actively.
2 The students are aware of the principles of transposition but the results are clumsy and slow. Their practice habits are irregular and so is their development.
1 The students understand the principles of tranposition but harmonic comprehension and practical realisation suffer from serious deficiencies. Their transposition work is slow and difficult. Work habits are quite irregular.
