Objective

The students are familiar with group guidance and, according to their choice, with the guidance participants of diverse and mixed-age groups or of those with different cultural background.

Content

The principles of guidance for different groups. Optional choice for in-depth work with child protection sites, with many-cultural groups, at children and youth hospital departments, with senior citizens or early age music groups.
Special characterictis of groups to be guided.

Qualifications

The students know the main teaching methods of their principal instruments and their teaching materials and are capable of developing and apply them. They are familiar with teaching and the work of a teacher. They are experienced in learning guidance and in the evaluation practices in teaching work and are able to work cooperatively in work group. They evaluate their own and other's abilities constructively and realistically and use the portfolio in learning and evaluating processes.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students have formed for themselves a grounded understanding of the challenges in diverse group guidance, their goals and work habits. They are able to guide groups in a planned way. They bring forth in an organic way a view of group teaching's main characteristics based on their own experience, on the available sources and on their teaching practice experience as well as of their own abilities as group guides at the moment.
