Objective

The aim is to gain understanding of personnel sizing, shift planning and management in retail store. The student is able to plan, organise and lead, and size personnel according the retail store´s goals. The student is able to exploit the tools for developing personnel.

4 themes:
1. Industrial safety
2. Quality of activities
3. Retail store´s tasks organising
4. Tools to manage and develop personnel

Qualifications

1st and 2nd study modules of Retail entrepreneurship studies called "Operational environment of retail store" ("Päivittäistavarakaupan toimintaympäristö") and "Competitive forces of retail store" ("Vähittäiskaupan kilpailukeinot") and the basics of personnel administration and management.

The assessment criteria for individual courses are given in an annex to the implementation plan of the course.
