Objective

The student receive an overview of e-business and electronic transactions, especially of their role in company’s or other organization's activities and future development. The student understands the opportunities and challenges of networked economy in exploiting computer networks and internet. He/she also knows the key features and functions of business information systems.
The student understands the new opportunities of modern web environment in implementing marketing concepts. He/She understands the consumer behavior in web environment, as well as the consumer's active role and two-way interaction in web-based marketing and services.

Content

The basic concepts of e-business, e-business development, customer relations and customer relationship management, online services, payment and security. E-commerce design and implementation.
Marketing in the web and use of social media in marketing.
Use of web and social media in customer support.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of information systems (sofware, web, basics of communication technologies) related to business and entrepreneurship.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5): The student is able to apply the opportunities of web-technology in business environment effectively and creatively.

Good (3-4): The student masters e-business concepts and principles. The student understands the potential of new technologies in marketing.

Satisfactory (1-2): The student understands the nature and basic concepts of e-business and marketing in the web
