Objective
The students get an overall picture of the role of electronic commerce in the activities of a company or organisation They understand the opportunities and challenges of the digital network economy in the utilisation of networks and the Internet. They are also familiar with the central features and functions of the information systems related to electronic commerce.
Content
Basic concepts of electronic commerce, development of electronic commerce, customership and customer relations management, marketing in the web; e-services, online payments and data security. Design and implementation of an online shop.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of business information systems and of entrepreneurial activities.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Demonstration of the competence consisting of the learning assignments and diaries.
- Excellent (5): The student is able to utilise the potential of electronic commerce in a business-oriented way.
- Good ( 4-3) The student understands the terminology and operation principles of electronic commerce.
- Satisfactory/sufficient (2-1): The student understands the basic concepts and characteristics of electronic commerce.
