Objective

After completing the course, the student knows the basics of switched networks and is able to design and implement a company LAN by using VLAN, STP and WLAN techniques. He (she also knows the most common ways to connect to a service provider’s network.

Content

- The basics of switched networks and routing in local area networks
- data link layer protocols (PPP, Frame-relay), protecting network, access control lists (ACL), address services (DHCP, NAT, IPv6), fault search

Qualifications

CCNA (Networking Fundamentals, the order: CCNA3 - CCNA4.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5) The student knows well the learning objectives of the module and he (she) can design a local are network for an enterprise.
Good (3-4) The student knows the structure of an enterprise level local area network and he (she) can design a simple switched network.
Satisfactory (1-2) The student knows the basic learning objectives of the module and he (she) has passed the practical exercises of the module.
