Objective

After completing the module the student knows the basics of data networks, the equipment and the topologies. The student knows IP subnetworking, LAN cabeling and the basics of LAN design. The students can manage small routed network environment and knows the basics of routing protocols

Content

• The basics of routing, static routing, distance and link-state routing protocol (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF), control and configuration of routers and basics of IPv6.

Qualifications

Order of the Academy semesters: CCNA1 – CCNA2

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The student knows comprehensively the learning objectives of the module and he (she) can creatively apply the knowledge for network design. In addition he (she) has passed the practical exercises of the module.
Very good 4: The student knows well the learning objectives of the module and he (she) can apply the knowledge for network design. He (she) has passed the practical exercises of the module.
Good 3: the student knows the IP-sub networking and the routing protocols and he (she) can design a simple routed network. He (she) has passed the practical exercises of the module.
Satisfactory 2: The student knows the basic learning objectives of the module and he (she) has passed the practical exercises of the module.
Sufficient 1: The student is familiar with the basic learning objectives of the module and he (she) has passed the practical exercises of the module.
