Objective

The students understand the significance of installation-technical considerations in electrical design. They know the various installation methods, area classifications, installation standards and relevant regulations. They know the basics of 3D Design and are, if necessary, able to perform 3D modelling. They know the requirements of installation supervision and inspections. They know the issues to be considered in commissioning and testing. They know how to draw up electrical specifications and contract documents.

Qualifications

Basics of industrial electrical design and CAD

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters well the installation-technical and inspection-related documentations of an electrical design project and is independently able to draw up documents according to the standards and regulations in electrical design projects of the industry.
Good (3): The student masters well some of the installation-technical and inspection-related documentations of an electrical design project and can draw up documents in practice.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student has the basic knowledge of the documentations of an electrical design project.
Assessment is based on the exam and assignments.
