Objective
The students master the image formation and processing methods of machine vision systems, as well as the image analysis methods, necessary for the identification of a target, for grey scale and color images. They can design image processing algorithms for laboratory machine vision systems and the lighting solutions and automatic controls required by the target of application.

Central contents: Image formation, image analysis, lighting, machine vision systems and their applicatons, automatic controls.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Very good (4-5):The student masters the basics of the HW and SW design for machine vision systems and can apply the knowledge and skills independently.
Good (3): The student has achieved the learning objectives of the basic HW and SW design for machine vision systems.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student is familiar with the basic design of the HW and SW design for machine vision systems, but there are deficiencies in applying the knowledge and skills independently.
