Technical Drawing and CADLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The students know the basics of mechanical drawing. The students can draw by hand and with the aid of a computer the different projections of a body and also the different section drawings and they can make the right dimensioning, tolerances and other markings .
The students can read ready drawings and plan unambiguous workshop drawings from products. The students can make workshop and assembly drawings with the CAD system.

Description methods, projections, dimensioning and other markings and integrating markings with CAD drawings.

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner to problem solving.
Good (3): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills also in more complicated situations:
- can devise a workshop drawing according to the standards and can accurately define all the markings needed
- can use the CAD system to assist the studies and can utilize the features of the system.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge but in applying the essential knowledge the skills are inadequate; however, the student has mainly achieved the learning objectives of the course.
