Objective
The students have a holistic idea of the operation of a logistic chain, its control and the development of its elements. Student learn collaborative models, supply chain management innovations, transport's role, the impact of materials requirement planning and the role of information systems as well as planning models. Student will know how to manage and control materials and products from the point of view of procurement and distribution.
Content
The lectures present distribution,network with regard to: structural alternatives,Basics of design,management administration and development methods. Supply chain strategies, innovations, production planning and control, collaborative models, distribution models.
Qualifications
The basic principles of materials management from the perspectives of production , sourcing and distribution.Logistics management, transport modes, operations research (optimization and simulation), transport economies, Inventory management, mathematics, statistics
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Understanding and ability to explain terminology, advanced SCM concepts will be measured by quantity and quality of student's answers to the teacher's questions in class room and the quantity and quality of student's participation in class discussion. Student's skill of building project work will be measured in the quality of student's project assignment and exercises. The overall comprehension of supply chain management will be measured in the exam.
