Objective
The students are able to plan warehouse or logistics center and related warehouse technologies and materials handling. The students can also calculate investment and yearly costs of plan.
Content
The main contents include:
executing a planning project, need of warehouse space and XYZ analysis, planning warehouse layout, planning internal transfers, planning personnel amount, investment costs, yearly costs and planning use of building ground.
Qualifications
The students master basics of logistics, materials handling, warehousing and its management. They have the capability to find information independently and to produce reports.They are able to apply mathematics to practical example cases.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Excellent (5)
The students have attained an excellent level in the objectives. In addition, they have shown active participation during the instruction.
Good (3-4)
The students have attained a good level in the objectives. Their activity during the instruction has been irregular.
Satisfactory (1-2)
The students know the basics and understand how to apply their knowledge according to the objectives. Their activity has been irregular during the instruction.
