Objective

• The students are able to act in typical and demanding working life communication situations both orally and in writing, supporting their logistics-specific competence.
• The students are able to prepare and give clear, structured presentations related to the field of logistics, using appropriate terminology and style.
• The students are able to produce documents and messages in an appropriate style, integrated with their professional studies when possible( e.g. reports in accordance with the JAMK Report Writing Instructions)
• The students are familiar with the central terminology of their field and motivated to broaden it as part of their professional identity.

Content

• concepts and terminology of the field
• business terminology
• customer contacts, e.g.:
- field-specific presentations (may be integrated with professional studies)
- meetings and negotiations
- trade fairs
- problem situations and complaints
• producing texts in formal style; completed in integration with professional studies when possible

5 The students are able to communicate extremely fluently and take an active role in demanding written and oral working life situations related to the field of logistics, applying the acquired knowledge to practice.

4 The students are able to communicate fluently in an appropriate style even in demanding written and oral working life situations related to the field of logistics.

3 The students are able to communicate relatively fluently in an appropriate style in written and oral working life situations related to the field of logistics.

2 The students are able to communicate comprehensibly in written and oral working life situations related to the field of logistics, although their communication may be incoherent and not always appropriate in style.

1 The students are able to communicate sufficiently in simple and routine written and oral working life situations related to the field of logistics, although their communication may be incoherent and inappropriate in style.
