Objective
The students master the statics of mass point and rigid body. They can draw load surfaces and solve statically determinate lattice.
The students know the relationship between stress and deformation, know how to design compressed, drawn and bent structures, and how to dimension a compressed bar.
The students have advanced their knowledge of statics to the calculation of load for statically determined complex structures. They are able to calculate the displacement of statically determined structures.
The students are able to solve statically undetermined structures with the general work method and the angular distortion method. They are familiar with the risks present in computer-aided calculation.
