Objective
The students masters common ground survey methods and know the regulations and guidelines related to the design, implementation and supervision of foundation structures. They know different types of substructure construction, building pits, the drainage and frost protection of building ground, and the requirements for filling work.
The student knows reasons and effects of damages of foundations, used methods for repairing foundations, and knows how to take radon into consideration in new buildings and renovation.
Student knows the basics of subsidence calculations.
