Objective

The students are able to justifiedly breed the animals of a domestic animal farm and evaluate the breeding value of a production animal. They can perceive the significance of output monitoring and counselling for the development of domestic animal production.
The students know the main procedures of output monitoring and can interpret related reports.
The students master the key concepts of domestic animal breeding, know the breeding targets of the main production animals and the principles of the selection of animals for breeding, and are able to interpret reports related to breeding.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

o Inexperienced performer (1-2):
The student knows the basics of animal breeding.

o Developing performer (3-4):
The student knows the methods of animal breeding and can interpret farm-specific reports.

o Competent performer (5):
The student can make justified plans for animal breeding in different farm conditions.
