Objective
Together with a nursing team, the students plan, implement and evaluate the nursing of patients affected by public health problems in a customer-oriented manner, ensuring patient safety, health promoting, ethically and applying multidisciplinary evidence-base knowledge.

Qualifications
The students master the evaluation and observation of vital functions and key assistance methods in nursing. They are able to help and support the patients in coping with their daily activities. The students are able to make entries and work in compliance with data protection regulations. They have capacities for providing lifestyle counselling and nursing in key public health problems. They can perform pharmaceutical calculations acceptably.

Comply with the ethical principles of nursing and the requirements of patient safety
Together with the patients and their families, they plan, implement and evaluate nursing of a patient affected by a public health problem in a customer-oriented manner, applying multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge.
Are skilled in key nursing procedures and the safe use of implements
Implement safe drug therapy
Are able to guide and prepare a patient for key examinations related to public health problems
Apply their knowledge of treatment and service chains and safe return to home in order to protect the continuity of the patient’s treatment
Are capable of oral communication and documentation for the patient record system as required by legislation.
Under guidance, implement goal-oriented patient counselling related to lifestyles and care in a resource-based manner and stressing the active role of the patient, drawing on appropriate guidance and teaching material
Follow the work community rules, act with initiative and demonstrate ability for cooperation
Assess their own actions critically and suggest targets for development.
