Objective
Together with the care team, the students plan, implement and evaluate the nursing of acute, operative and gynaecological patients ethically and in a customer-oriented manner, ensuring patient safety and applying multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge. The students are familiar with the most common sudden treatment and emergency situations and the safe use of nursing technology.

The students have basic skills in acute, operative and gynaecological nursing. They have passed the pharmaceutical calculation test.

Students
• comply with the ethical principles of nursing and requirements of patient safety
• together with the patients and their families, they plan, implement and evaluate nursing in a customer-oriented manner, applying multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge
• under guidance, they interpret vital functions and examination results
• are skilled in key treatment procedures and the safe use of implements
• are able to implement safe drug and rehydration therapy
• are able to counsel and prepare patients for key examinations and procedures of operative and gynaecological nursing
• are capable of oral communication and documentation for the patient record system as required by legislation
• implement goal-oriented counselling in a customer-oriented manner, drawing on appropriate guidance and teaching material
• follow the work community rules, act with initiative and demonstrate ability for cooperation
• assess their own actions critically and suggest targets for development.
