Objective

The student understands the etiology and medical treatment processes of the main surgically treated illnesses. S/he masters the drug calculation required for pharmacotherapy and the central knowledge of clinical pharmacology, upon which medication is based. S/he knows the principles of repairing and healing tissue integrity. S/he can identify problems and use creative problem-solving skills in decision-making.

Content

Medicine 3.5 cr (anesthesiology, surgery, and gynaecology),
Pharmacology 0.75 cr analgesics, local anaesthetics, general anaesthetics, antibiotics, anticoagulants, abortion medicines, drug calculations
Anatomy and physiology 0.75 cr sense organs, anatomy of the urinary organs, tissue healing, bones, muscles, ligaments

Qualifications

Basics of nursing, Health promotion and Nursing and Public Health Issues.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5)
The student has mastered excellent knowledge base on medicine (surgery, anesthesiology and gynekology), pharmacology and anatomy and physiology.

Very good (4)
The student has mastered very good knowledge base on medicine (surgery, anesthesiology and gynekology), pharmacology and anatomy and physiology

Good (3)
The student has mastered good knowledge base on medicine (surgery, anesthesiology and gynekology), pharmacology and anatomy and physiology.

Satisfactory (2)
The student has mastered satisfactory knowledge base on medicine (surgery, anesthesiology and gynekology), pharmacology and anatomy and physiology

Adequate (1)
The student has mastered adequate knowledge base on medicine (surgery, anesthesiology and gynekology), pharmacology and anatomy and physiology

Fail (0)
