Objective
The student knows the demands of first-line management, client work management and client process management that are related to services produced in various ways in the social services sector and early childhood education. The student has the basic ability to work in the different areas of first-line management, especially in client work management. The student is able to assess their own competence and developmental needs in first-line management. The student tries and implements tasks in the various areas of first-line management in practice.
Content
Supervised practical training in first-line management.
Assignments that have been separately agreed upon and a student-centred final assessment.
Qualifications
The student knows how to guide and support different clients in their daily lives and in different stages of growth, development and learning as well as when going through life changes. The student has a strong knowledge of the system that supports wellbeing and social security.
The student knows the key management models for first-line management, is able to manage client work, knows the basic premises of cooperation competence, and has completed a self-assessment in this area.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The assessment will utilise self-assessment and reviews made by the student’s supervisor and other employees at the student’s place of practical training.
Pass: The student has achieved the learning outcomes for the practical training and compiled a practical training report in an acceptable manner. The verbal and written assessments, as well as the self-assessment have all been approved. The student is able to give reasons for the principles behind their actions (practical theory) in the operational environment of their choice.
Fail: The student has not achieved the learning outcomes for the practical training. Additionally, the student’s practical training report does not demonstrate a sufficient command of the chosen client work area.
