Objective

The students understand the variety of family care services in one chosen country.
•The students know the importance of the family-oriented work within social and health care
•The students understand the ethical principles and value systems of family work

•The students understand the strengths and different kind of challenges of family life
The students know the importance of inter-professional, culture sensitive work within an international environment.

Content

1,5 ECTS Families in social and health care in different countries. Applying the ethical principles and value systems to work with families. Multiple families and the development of trust.
1,5 ECTS Family-centered work in social and health care, theoretical concepts, methods and viewpoints.
2 ECTS Final test

Qualifications

A basic understanding of social and health care in one’s own country.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass:The student comprehends the importance of the family-oriented work within social and health care in different countries. S/he understands the ethical principles and value systems of family work and is able to disseminate this knowledge. S/he is able to demonstrate the usability of models and know their challenges. The student takes the responsibility of course tasks and projects given and acts in ways agreed, taking into account other actors and players. He/she can plan, organize and develop his own activities.
