Objective

The students know and master the user-centered product development processes and the productization process of services related to technological solutions. The students can apply the knowledge and skills acquired to the solutions of practical problems in an entrepreneur-like manner when working in the smart home environment and are able to produce concrete solutions which enable people to live at home.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to earn the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge acquired critically, innovatively and successfully when solving a development problem.
Good (3): The student masters well the overall implementation of a development project related to the smart home environment utilizing project work methods. The student can utilize well the knowledge and skills acquired during other courses in the implementation of the project. The problem is quite demanding and the project work carried out by the student group benefits considerably the client company.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student masters the overall implementation of a development project related to the smart home environment utilizing project work methods. The student can utilize the knowledge and skills acquired during other courses in the implementation of the project. The problem is quite demanding and the project work carried out by the student group benefits the client company.

Assessment is based on the project report, project seminar and the performance during the project work and also on the achievement of the objectives.
