Objective

The student knows the services and methods, which prevent mental problems, correct them and support mental health, and are provided by public, private and NGO-organisations.The student knows different practises and methods supporting mental rehabilitation.The student can apply different psycho - social methods to face crises and crises situations.

Qualifications

The student knows the basic concepts of psychology and most usual mental problems with their interpretations. The student understands the meaning of social support in mental health work and knows mental health services in general.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The assessment is based on knowledge, skills and general competences in relation to study competences (National and European Quality Framework, level 6). Learning outcomes are assessed in relation to the competences of the course. Successfully passed items of assessment are assessed on the five step scale, which corresponds to the ECTS grading system. A description of competence at different level are 5(excellent),4(very good),3(good),2(satisfactory) and 1(sufficient). A course is failed (0),if the student does not achieve the minimum objectives set for course comletion.
